Who we are...

Nestled in the heart of Northumberland, Earsdon East Farm has been lovingly cared for by the Ryle family for four generations. Our story began here in 1955, when the family moved from the original farm in Durham. Back then, the fields were tilled with horses, not tractors, and life moved at the rhythm of the seasons. Today, not much has changed and that’s just how we like it.

We still live and work on the farm, preserving the values and practices that have shaped our way of life for nearly 70 years. Earsdon East Farm is home to a blend of arable, livestock, and equine operations. From golden wheat fields to grazing cattle and the gentle hum of horses in the stables, every corner of the farm tells a story of care, hard work, and connection to the land.

The farmhouse itself sits peacefully within its own private grounds, with a dedicated driveway that leads you away from the bustle of the working yard. Surrounded by open space and countryside views, it offers guests a tranquil retreat where they can relax in comfort while still feeling connected to the life of the farm. Whether you're soaking in the hot tub under the stars or enjoying a morning coffee in the garden, the house is your own secluded haven.
